Seiko - Prospex “POGUE” Solar Chronograph SE | SSC947

The new "Pogue" Speedtimer Chronograph, inspired by Seiko's original Speedtimer 6139, worn by Colonel William R. Pogue, during a NASA mission to space in 1969. The reinterpretation SSC947 chronograph combines the convenience of solar power and rugged durability with sporty style. Featuring a bi-colored Pepsi tachymeter bezel with gold-tone sun-brushed dial surrounded by a black minutes track. The brushed and polished 41.4mm stainless steel case is equipped with inconspicuous slanted date window @4.  Applied markers and LumiBright sword style hands are easily legible behind a curved sapphire crystal. Red seconds and small chrono-hand stand out and are striking against the black contrasting sub-dials. Polished chronograph pushers measure 60 minutes in 1/5- second increments with a small seconds, 24hour sub dial and power reserve indicator functions. Seiko's own in-house movement caliber V192 is powered by light, using ambient or direct sunlight with 6 month power reserve for low easy maintenance (no need for a battery). Fitted with a stainless brushed and polished 3-link bracelet with deployment butterfly safety clasp adjustable by 5 positions will keep your watch secure and in place.

Seiko is known for its quality, long lasting durable luxurious timepieces that stands the test of time. The PROSPEX collection is a gold standard for watch fanatics of all capacities. These speedtimer solar chronograph's timepieces are just the latest edition in a Seiko's history of innovations in sport wrist watches.
