The Speedtimer Solar Chronograph Series is the latest in the Prospex Collection inspired by Seiko's first precision chronographs, developed for international sporting competitions in 1964.  Now available in a smaller 39mm dial in three new colors the speedtimer combines the convenience of solar power with rugged durability and sporty style. The SSC965 features a bi-colored dial with black aluminum tachymeter bezel. The mint green sandblasted textured dial has applied markers and LumiBright sword style hands surrounded by a minutes track. The brushed and polished stainless steel case is equipped with inconspicuous slanted date window @4 easily legible behind a curved sapphire crystal. Polished chronograph pushers measure 60 minutes in 1/5- second increments with a small seconds, 24hour sub dial and power reserve indicator functions. Seiko's own in-house movement caliber V192 is powered by light, using ambient or direct sunlight with 6 month power reserve for low easy maintenance (no need for a battery). Fitted with a stainless brushed and polished 3-link bracelet with deployment butterfly safety clasp adjustable by 5 positions will keep your watch secure and in place.
